These beautiful hills offer the region’s best walking - follow old tracks as they wind through vineyard fields crossing old medieval villages. We can also organize walks with a local guide.

In spring and fall one can go truffle hunting. The area around Alba is worldwide famous for its white truffle and going truffle hunting is an unforgettable experience: early in the morning with the “trifulau” (the hunter) and his dog it feels like going back in time.

For our most active guests we suggest them to rent mountain bikes and follow the old unpaved paths of the Caters through the countryside.

From the end of June until the beginning of July Monforte hosts a Jazz Festival featuring stars from all over the world: from Diana Krall to Paolo Conte, from Manhattan Transfer to Mario Biondi. The festival is held at the Auditorium, an open air amphitheater on the top of village hill, under the stars.
